Mission of the Career Pathway Project Development Consultant

To collaborate with professionals and policy leaders in integrating their projects, products, or services that transform communities into career pathway projects for youth and young adults. Manages projects through public and private partnerships by developing hands- on projects, work-based learning projects, or curriculum that will encourage the next generation to become leaders of the global market.

TARGETED PROFESSIONAL AND POLICY PARTNERSHIPS FOR CAREER PATHWAY PROJECTS:

  • URBAN, SUBURBAN, AND RURAL SUSTAINABILITY (ENVIRONMENTAL AND ECONOMICAL DEVELOPMENT) PROJECTS
  • ADVANCED MANUFACTURING AND LOGISTICAL PRACTICES THAT HANDLE INNOVATIVE PRODUCTS AND PROJECTS
  • INCLUDE SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, ARTS, AND MATH (STEAM) COMPONENTS TO THESE COMMUNITY INITIATIVES

Career Pathway Projects

  • WCRC serves as a liaison between industry partners, decision-makers, and youth/young adult based institutions in developing career pathway projects.
    • Develop curriculum, work-based learning tool, internship, and student engaged programs using industry’s projects, products, and services
      • Aim to innovate, create economic growth, or solve problems in communities and/or regions
      • Projects based on participating institutions, classes, student population, grade, and skills level
    • Many career pathway projects will allow the next next generation to participate in innovations, local and/or regional initiatives.
  • Assist with grant application and other funding opportunities

Policy Advisors

  • Researching, Consulting and Publishing Contributions to the following:
    • Policy institutes that provide relevant recommendations to policymakers.
    • Elected officials, candidates, and other decision-makers in charge of relevant programs.
  • Assist industry partners in working with policy leaders to expand their projects into municipalities and regions.
