Latoya Wilson-Taubel is a consultant and the founder of Wilson Career Pathways Project (WCPP). She collaborates with economic development and sustainability experts to design interactive, project-based career pathway initiatives targeted at youth and young adults. The aim is to inspire the next generation to pursue careers that use STEAM and innovation to strengthen local and regional communities. She also teaches Political Science courses as an Adjunct Instructor at Middlesex College.
Mrs. Wilson-Taubel had more than 15 years of experience as a workforce development advisor in community colleges through partnerships with NJ One Stops, the Department of Labor, and local businesses. In her role, she connected many students enrolled in social services and Youth Corp to internship and full-time employment after completing educational or job training programs. She contributed to strategies on how workforce development programs can effectively support economic development needs in surrounding areas.
With her strong policy background, Mrs. Wilson-Taubel has been appointed to her township’s Planning Board as well as her County’s Workforce Development Board. Most importantly, she returned to her economic development roots by serving as a member of International Economic Development Council. She believes that inspiring new leaders to use innovation to drive economic growth should begin in K-12 education.
Mrs. Wilson-Taubel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Georgia State University and a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Baltimore. She is originally from New Haven, Connecticut, but now lives in Hamilton Township, NJ with her husband.
